What Is Pure Romance?

Pure Romance is a  multilevel marketing company founded in 1993 by Patty Brisben, and headquartered in Cincinnati.

Pure Romance can be best described as a rather some what unusual network marketing company where their focus is on the sale of relationship enhancement products in exclusive woman only parties.

As far as they the old saying goes - sex sells, and Pure Romance has, since its inception grown to a US$250 Million per year company with over 90,000 distributors on their books.

All happily selling and promoting rather risque out there products aimed at sexual enhancement and pleasure.

Pure Romance provide on going training and support for their consultants which is not provided directly by the company but from fellow consultants. Naturally this will be the same as every MLM in that aspect where it will depend on your upline sponsor should you decide to join.

Rather interesting is the founder of Pure Romance has her own foundation for promoting sexual wellness amongst women.

Who is Patty Brisben?

Patty Brisben, started off in the world or direct sales and Multi-Level marketing in the early 1980's after watching an edition of the Phil Donahue show.

The, industry she was involved in was no other than intimacy products and selling them in the traditional old fashioned way of holding parties and gatherings with other women.

Every single year Patty was ranked in the top 5 for both sales and recruitment - clearly demonstrating a gift for network marketing.

She is the the author of two books -Pure Romance: Sexy Between the Sheets and Sexy Ever After - Intimacy Post Cancer.

She also runs her own foundation and funds studies into sexual disorders and dysfunction and aids to educate in regards to sexual health.

Pure Romance Lawsuit

There are currently no lawsuits filed against Pure Romance by any individuals, corporations or regulatory authorities. Historically there appear to be no lawsuits either.

The only Lawsuit I could find regarding Pure Romance is when they sued a former consultant who when to to start their business in a similar field, DearXO.

Pure Romance filed for breach of contract and the non-compete clause.

Who Is Pure Romance For?

This business opportunity is exclusively for women. The parties are women only events.

Even if men were permitted to join and sell the product I am not sure how well they would be able to convince women to come round and join in a party and buy sexy toys like dildos, vibrators, lubricants, sex swings and so on!.

It is clearly something suited for women only and I believe designed that way.

The type of lady that would be successful with this type of business is one that is out going in character and personality, popular and comfortable talking about such personal and intimate things.

You can earn 30% to 40% and upwards per sale depending on products sold and sales performance.

How much each individual can earn as a dollar amount is difficult to determine as it depends on a number of factors including your ability to demonstrate and sell products and how often you host parties and how many attend.

What I Liked About Pure Romance

There are a lot of things to like about Pure Romance, namely:

• Fully accredited and perfectly rated with the BBB
• Market leaders without a doubt!.
• Few competitors in that market.

What I Did Not Like About Pure Romance

There some things that I did not like about Pure Romance.

• It Is a MLM - difficult businesses to get off the ground and get going.
• It is a very awkward product line to promote "hey wanna come to my sex top party and buy some lube and dildos?" I'm prudish for sure, just see this sort of thing being a bit awkward.
• Products are actually quite expensive...*ahem* so I heard....

This something that is actually very difficult to say so for sure as with a network marketing opportunities the company is obliged to display an income disclosure statement.

In my experience of reviewing 600+ opportunities I can tell you that this is very indicative of you not being able to earn money with their opportunity.

Is Pure Romance A Pyramid Scheme?

In my opinion it is entirely feasible that Pure romance is a Pyramid Scheme and somewhat of a pay to play due to the obliged US$200 purchase every 2 months of products.

Even though the organisation appear to comply with the laws in regards to having a retail side to their business the effective functionality due to the autoship could lead to abuse by consultants.

Why would you or I put in an effort to sell products when we can recruit people on autoship and get them to do the same?.

Then after a short while, earn pass up commissions...

Whenever there is an autoship obligation it opens up a grey area which the regulatory authorities need to deal with as it really is in my opinion pay to play kind of deal and when pass up commissions are involved it really is wide open to abuse!.

It is a grey area and I can only state my own opinion and interpretation.

Yes, given the companies business model and compensation plan, I can tell you for sure that Pure Romance is a MLM business opportunity.

Is Pure Romance A Scam Or Legit?

This is a very grey area and all depends upon your interpretation of the compensation plan.

The compensation plan is open to abuse and can operate like a scam in my opinion, but to be fair I do not believe this is the intention of the company or the owner.

My Pure Romance Review - The Final Conclusion

I started off researching and thinking this was going to be a great opportunity for a number of reasons - namely training and support every step of the way as claimed.

Which, according to the complaints I found is just "corporate bullsh*t".

This where most people fail as far as network marketing opportunities are concerned - very little to no actual training and help.

Sale and marketing, be it direct sales, network marketing or my favourite affiliate marketing takes a certain skill set in order to succeed online. Thankfully, learn one and you can transfer and apply them to different business models.

By far the best thing you can do for yourself and your future is to knuckle down and put in the effort to learn the skill set that you need to become a success online.

When you do that you see just how easy it is to make money online.
